how do I tune a direct tv receiver to a Sony Tv model nunber kv1984mt?
I am trying to tune a Direct TV receiver to an older model Sony Tv. The TV is a sony model number KV 1984MT. All that runs to the TV from the receiver is a Yellow and White adio/video cable, but the TV just isn't picking up the signal from the receiver. any suggestions?
You are trying to use the tuner in your TV to get the stations from the sat box. By using the yellow/red/white connections, you are bypassing the TV tuner. This is called a direct audio/video input and you must change the input on the TV to something that is probably called video or video1. You should be able to do this from the Remote Control or the front of the TV.
