Are there touch screen remotes, similar to the Crestron screens that are as easy to program as Logitech's?
I have programmed countless logitech remotes using their harmony device software in very complicated set ups, however, am still scared of tackling something bigger. I was wondering if there are any higher end Touch Screen Remote options (with bigger screens than the Harmony 1000 or 1100) like crestron, but that are similarly easy to program?
Thanks in advance!
For high end remotes, bigger than the Harmony and similar to the Crestrons, take a look at the Philips Pronto. There is the top of the line TSU9800 with a 6.4" screen and the smaller TSU9600 with a 3.7" screen. Both have bigger screens and higher resolutions than the Harmony. It is however more advance than the Harmony's as it can allow you to control just about anything, but should be easier than the Crestrons. There is also Universal's MX-6000 at 4.3", which should be even easier to use, but I've heard nothing is as good as the Harmonys' in terms of ease of use and value.
Off topic, you can also entertain the idea of building a custom remote from a Tablet PC, UltraMobile PC, or even an iPhone using complete software suites like Girder, or simpler programs like IRCommad2, or Intelliremote to control an HTPC, but I digress...
