My TV won't recognise my DVD/HD?
I asked a similar question and nobody had any answers that solved my problem so....
I got a new Lcd Tv Sony Bravia "V" series 46"
KDL-46V4000
And I can't get my TV to recognise my DVD/HD, the TV controls on my Dvd Remote work fine but I can't play DVD's or any of the playbacks on my HD?
HELP please!

What AV connection type are you using to connect the DVD and just what do you mean by DVD/HD?
Hopefully you are using either HDMI or component video (see link below for info as to what these connections look like)

The strange thing about your question is you use the phrase to the effect you can't get your TV to recognize your DVD player and not once do you ever mention switching your TV to the right AV input. Well, your TV doesn't have to recognize anything but you sure do have to have it on the right input!

I still think you are not understanding. Some AV connections preform better than others, but aside from that, there is no "right" AV input. All you have to do is connect the DVD output to a like TV input and then you have to go to the TV and even if you do not know the name of the input, all you have to do is switch through the inputs one at a time. When you get to the right one, you will see a picture.
In everything you have said, it is very telling to me that not once have you ever indicated that you have used either the remote or the button on the side of the set to switch inputs.
