How can i Unlock an APEX television without the original remote?
24 in flat screen. Original remote lost. Tried to program a Universal Remote and now the tv is locked. APEX says can't get replacement original remote and offers no way to unlock it.
We have 3 Apex tv's and I've had the same trouble - but I was fortunate enough to hit the right buttons & eventually figured it out. Maybe this is your problem and these directions will help you. Just make sure your t.v. is ON & you're aiming the remote directly at the t.v. during the entire process.
1)press and hold the code search button until the light stays lit then let go
2)enter 236
3)press t.v. button
4)press power until your t.v. turns off (might take more than one try, but not likely)
5)press ENTER and hopefully you're done.
