Using two Directv Remotes on one Receiver?
I am considering switching from dish network to DirecTV and I want to know if i can use the regular directv remote and the Rf Remote at the same time because i want to split the cable from one receiver and connect it to my kitchen tv and put the Rf Remote in the kitchen and the ir remote in my basement with the receiver is it possible to do this having them both programmed to the receiver at the same time

No, the only thing you could do is control the volume on the TV in the room the receiver is not in. To change channels, lookup info, etc. you need to have a box in that room. However, if you use a Slingbox or a Hava, you CAN watch TV in any room and still control everything the remote could.
