How to control a RC car with a cellphone?
How could I accomplish the above stated task? The RC car is an average toy car with rechargeable batteries. My top priority would be to control with a Nokia 1112, but I am willing to change to another phone that allows applications to be uploaded. So, any suggestions??
I cannot see any way that you could use a cell phone to control an RC car. The cell phone operates in a completely different way to the radio control of an RC car.
It would be possible to have a cell phone in the car, controlled from another cell phone. It would also need a microcomputer in the car to translate the cell phone outputs to actions in the car. The calling cell phone would need a computer of some kind to translate commands too. Some cell phones (or cell phone modules) can be used as modems to transfer commands as serial signals like the serial port on a PC. Hardly seems worth it.
